    Some good info I hadn’t heard before about wintertime sun– thanks! I bought sleeves while I lived in Korea (can’t say whether they’re the same brand, the text is in Hangul). Anyway, I can’t recommend sleeves more highly. I’ve used them to block the sun, wind, cold, and bugs! That’s right, bugs. LOTS of mosquitoes & black flies where I live, and the sleeves prevent my skin from turning into ground meat. I consider my sleeves an essential piece of equipment whenever I go hiking, whether for a couple hours, a whole day, or a camping trip. Too cold around French River to have any skin exposed during the winter…
